Today during our Inuktitut course over Skype, Mick Mallon and I worked on concepts of hunting and searching for caribou, seal and ptarmigan on the ice.
The morphemes that we reviewed today were: qauji- "discover", and
-si- VM [Z[ "discover in the sense of come across an animal"
like when you say
"tukisijunga" , I came across meaning, or "I understand",
you can also say "tuktusijunga" or, I discovered a caribou. (junga/tunga is the 1st person article, "I").
tuktuliaqtunga uses the morpheme "liaq" which is "looking for", another common verb maker used in hunting.
